Film Synopsis-

I was asked to prepare for a short film about 10-15mins long, I have come up with different ideas for a short film that me and my production team will create.  I have come up with some specific ideas. The main one that I have come up was based 10 years ago and it has 7 different gang members within the film. They all control a different part of this specific city, and its black market. All of these different gang members have been called to have a get together. 

The Logline

Affiliation is a suspenseful and dramatic action movie, about 7 gang members who meet up to unite but something goes wrong, but what… 

Screenplay Structure

Act 1-     7 gang members/leaders meet up and the idea of the meet up is to unite and become a stronger community together.

Act 2-     Half of the gang members have a disagreement, so tension and conflict starts to build, 2 gang leaders have a disagreement with another 2 gang leader and they start to have a little scuffle/ fight.

Act 3-     2 gang leaders end up getting killed from the fight in the bar than the rest of the Gang leaders come together as one and sort the situation out again before anything gets out of hand again. 

Characters

Spencer – Blind gang leader, prefers to strategize and outsmart his peers, dresses in dark long coat and always wears a hat. Carries a single playing card (King of Spades) as he believes that there is a certain order of dominance within the affiliation, and he often sees himself on top.

Benjamin – Gang leader, prefers a physical approach to situations, quick to draw his gun and end things quickly but also able to outsmart his opponent if without a weapon, dresses in a dark waistcoat an always carries a flask of Root Beer to sip on when he needs it.

Anthony – Unaffiliated gang leader, believes that there’s more strength in independence than in an affiliation and thrives in playing mind games with his opponent when confronting them. Wears a scruffy-looking coat as well as a pocket watch and enjoys tasting any alcohol that is present where he goes.

Pete – Owner of a bar that serves as a central meeting hub for the affiliated gang leaders, never playing for only one team and always making a deal that benefits primarily his own interests, even if he has to betray an old friend along the way. Wears a classic, simple dark shirt and often serves the worst quality of alcohol in his bar, which many affiliated know.

Film Treatment-

Scene opens in a late evening in the interior of a bar. Three men are sitting in the bar, one in the middle of the bar (Benjamin), one sitting at the left edge near the entrance (Old Man). §

The third is the barman (Pete) finishing cleaning a glass behind the bar itself. Pete asks Benjamin what he’s doing there, as he hasn’t seen him for many years, and Benjamin is about to reveal his intentions when Spencer walks in through the door.

Target Audience

My target audience for this film is aimed to be aged between 15-23 years old.   This is because we want to get this film out to all audiences. Also the age rating starts at 15 as their is violence and bad language within this film. There is not much bad language maybe the occasional bad words but not many. This is a rough age for a target audience as this will be the age range of people that will be interested in this sort of action movies.
